BABY BOTOX is defined as smaller doses of Botox (typically half doses) injected into each area, in comparison to traditional Botox where more units are injected into each point. Since different people react differently to different doses, starting with smaller doses makes sense as if we start with full doses, we can never know if half doses were all that was needed. The rule with Botox is that we can always add more, but as there is no antidote, we can never take away.
Smaller doses also allow for a more natural looking result, dealing with wrinkles while still allowing some facial movement and expression. And let’s not forget that since we use less, the price is also smaller, which is a bonus for those having their first ever treatment. Despite of doses being smaller, as with full doses, the effects are noticeable within a couple of days is some cases, the full effect is seen at 2 weeks and fades after 3-4 months, when a new treatment is recommended.
So as I strive to achieve natural results, I recommend Baby Botox to anyone considering antiwrinkle treatment.
FULL BOTOX is the traditional antiwrinkle treatment per area, typically forehead, frown and crow’s feet, but also applicable to gummy smiles (reduction of appearance of the gum by relaxing the upper lip, resulting in a more natural looking smile), bunny lines (smoothing the wrinkles that appear on either side of the nose), and lip flip (treating the muscle around the upper lip to give a fuller and more defined appearance).
This treatment is for those who are not satisfied with the results achieved by Baby Botox treatment and/or want a less expressive, even “frozen” look. Generally full doses are administered, although this is discussed and decided during the pre-treatment assessment taking into consideration what effect we are aiming to achieve in each area.
Except for the frown and forehead, which must be treated together to avoid cosmetically unpleasant results, areas can be treated in isolation, or as part of a wider treatment.
This treatment is priced by area, rather than by the amount of toxin used, as it was the case with Baby Botox, so it is generally more expensive. However, it comes with a complimentary review at 2 weeks and top-up injections, if required, at no extra cost.
